Vision and Values

Our Vision

In July 2024 the children, staff and governors worked together as a team to create a new vision for our school.

Our vision is to nurture a supportive, forward-thinking community where everyone is valued for who they are. We are dedicated to inclusive lifelong learning and personalised education that respects individual starting points whilst allowing all children to flourish. By fostering courage compassion and respect we aim to develop global citizens who are empowered to make a meaningful difference to God’s world.

Our Values

The children, staff, parents and governors of Amport School have agreed our core Christian values of Compassion, Courage, Respect. Our vision is underpinned by our spirituality and by these core Christian values. The ethos of the school, our curriculum, policies and practice, and all that we put into place for our community, grow from these roots. As a Church of England school, we welcome children and families of Christian faith, of other faiths and of no faith. We explore our understanding of the Christian faith through examining Christian values. Ultimately, we try to live our days through these values.

On 20th September 2024 we launched our new values of Compassion, Courage and Respect. The children worked in their house teams to explore the meaning of each value, find examples of the value in the bible and think about how you can demonstrate the value in our everyday life.

The children enjoyed the creative activities and were very pleased to show their creative designs to their families after school in our walking library.
