Welcome
We warmly welcome you to Amport CE (Aided) Primary School. Amport is a special place, full of happy and kind pupils who enjoy their learning experiences and make excellent progress. The staff at Amport are determined to nurture and support your child through the primary school years, enabling them to be life-long learners and positive and respectful global citizens of the future.
We are a caring community and there is a real sense of everyone looking out for each other. This is underpinned by positive relationships between staff and pupils. Everyone feels valued and listened to.
At Amport, children are exposed to a broad, rich and balanced curriculum which allows all children to have a range of experiences. We offer a progressive curriculum which allows all children to reach their full potential. Our curriculum is enriched by visits, visitors and a variety of music and sporting events across the local area.
The school has developed an environment where children are not afraid to take risks and to make mistakes. The communal language of the school reflects this and positive phrases such as ‘what puzzles you?’ are used to explore new ideas. Children enjoy coming to school, and are excited about tackling learning. They know that their questions are valid and children display a great sense of curiosity. Children are inquisitive and enjoy the learning opportunities provided. Everyone is encouraged to celebrate their success as well as the steps along their journey to get there.
We have an open-door policy and work closely with all of our families. We encourage parents to talk about concerns or worries with school staff. Staff and children work hard and are supported by parents in all we do and achieve together. We are proud of our school and all who grow here; we see our school as a positive and inclusive learning environment where we try to live out our core Christian values every day.
Our active PTA holds numerous fund-raising events throughout the school year which are very popular with children and their families. By joining Amport, you will be part of a happy, lively and committed community.
